Additive Manufacturing

Storagenergy has developed a multitude of advanced manufacturing techniques, including various types of additive manufacturing (AM, a.k.a. 3D printing) in several government-funded projects for printing solid-state electrolytes (SSE), all-solid-state-batteries (ASSB), solid-oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), and thermosets composite polymers. 3D printing enables the fabrication of parts with intricate shapes that traditional molding-based manufacturing or even subtractive manufacturing cannot achieve. In electrochemical devices, such 3D structures have the potential to significantly improve energy density and power capabilities.
